15 Spectacular Christmas Palettes Beyond Green and Red

Christmas seems oh so far away as I write this in early November, and though it can be the last thing on our minds at this time, stores are already rolling out mounds of green and red holiday decorations. While it’s tempting to reach those colours, consider this: Christmas does not have to be a green and red vacation.

It may appear bold to elect for blue rather than green or to test out brown rather than red, but should you would like to wow your guests this season, try experimenting with these alternate color combos.

Blue and red. Add some personality to your own tree by earning blue. This bright, lively color complements the reddish decorations you presently have and gives Christmas decorations a fresh feel.

Purple and red. Purple has long been known as the color of royalty, so make a regal touch to your holiday decor by mixing it with red. The dark purple leaves the red stand out and is a particularly great choice in a room full of wood.

Brown and green. If you like a traditional, classic take, add brown accents to your green decor. The earthy color brings an elegant look to seasonal decorations, blending especially well with wood and beige tones.

Blue and lime. For a fun, edgy twist, cover your shrub with bright blue and lime green decorations. The feathers are optional, of course, but are a great addition if you’re feeling adventuresome.

Red and lime. For people who just can not appear to kick green and red (which is clear), use lime for a modern twist.

Navy and silver. Navy is almost a neutral and goes well with anything, such as Christmas decorations. Mix it with a little bit of silver sparkle and white accents for a fresh, refreshing look.

Pink. Get the children excited about decorating with this wild pink palette. Using its own sock monkeys and explosion of color, this kid-approved shrub is an unexpected treat.

Orange and green. Permit the tropics inspire this palette. If you’re not excited about adding fruit to your tree, then get the same Florida feel with orange and yellow ornaments.

Light turquoise and silver. Bring a calm, relaxed feel for your Christmas table by blending these slightly coastal tones.

Multicolored. If you just can not decide on a color scheme, why don’t you incorporate a few? This colorful, quirky room manages to create mixing blue, green and pink seem good.

White and silver. Avoid an overstimulating holiday season by choosing the fresh, clean look of white and silver. Liven up this mild pair with texture from glittery accessories and mercury glass.

Purple and white. Light white and purple look sweet, intimate and cheery in the dining area.
