Should you depart gum on wood floor it won’t come off readily if someone has stepped on it. Solvents are not the answer because any chemical strong enough to dissolve gum probably will damage the floor end.
Scrape the Bulk
You can get most of the gum off a floor by pulling on it together with your fingers, but when that doesn’t work, you need a tool that is scraping. Instead of a metal implement like a butter knife, then go into your painting cupboard and discover a plastic putty knife. It scrapes chewing gum effectively as a metal tool without scratching at the floor.
Freeze the Rush
Wrap an ice cube in a plastic sandwich bag, when you have eliminated all you can with the putty knife and set it. The chewing gum will be enough to chip off when you remove the ice. Utilize the putty knife that is plastic like a chisel and tap on it with a hammer. It won’t damage the floor end.
